This is what I wore to a book signing and brilliant talk by Dr. Deepak Chopra author of some of my favorite books like : The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire or Ageless Body, Timeless Mind. It took place at the very interesting and intriguing Masonic Center in Madison, built in 1925.

* White sweater from Blanco in Spain.

* Black skirt from H&M.

* Black+Pink·Fancy·Lacy·Heart cardigan by me.

* Black tights from Target.

* Black Mary Janes by Candies. * Swarovski crystal crown earrings from little store in Denia, Spain.

I also wore this amazing sparkly hand knit headband made for me by Jacob Hawkins a.k.a. The Sweetie.

It was really an amazing talk and I feel like I gained a lot from it.

And on a side note, I must mention how fashionable Dr. Chopra was. He looked charming and so modern even wearing sparkly glasses!

I enjoyed this video so much I watched it several times in a row. I had to share.

More outfits of the day because I’ve been drawing like a maniac for days!

This is what I wore when we went and indulged in our favorite warmy cooked food on Reyes Eve. I thought this outfit was really worth documenting because I very very rarely wear brown. As a matter of fact, I think these are the only three brown items I own!

* Brown shirt from H&M.

* Black sweater from Blanco in Spain.

* Black & Pink plaid shorts from Old Navy.

* Black knit wool tights from Urban Outfitters.

* Black Mary Janes by Candies.

* Suspenders.

And here’s the coat I wore with this outfit, which my mom gave to me years ago.

I’ve been meaning to dye it black forever, since it’s really a fabulous coat (and super cozy and warm!) but I rarely wear colors that would go with it.

I had a quiet New Years Eve. I stayed home & had some homely fun, but dressed up anyway. To me that’s what most of the fun of NYE is about.

I get weird around the holidays…it might have something to do with the fact that I’m 5,000 miles away from home :(

But thinking about it later, I realized that I have the best of times by myself!! over the years, I’ve sort of become my favorite person. So who better to spend NYE with than with your two favorite people?!?

Anyway, this is what I wore:

* Sparkly Rhinestone Hello Kitty black long sleeve shirt.

*Light Pink tutu ballerina·y dress from H&M.

*Black+Pink·Fancy·Lacy·Heart cardigan by me.

*Black tights from Target.

*Hardcore Black Boots that I got years ago somewhere in Minnesota.

*Light Pink Pearly knit headband from Target.

* Queen of Pink earrings by Tarina Tarantino.

This outfit was the funnest thing ever! I loved it! I twirled & danced around the house in it & welcomed 2009 in sparkly princess funky style!

* Black long sleeve shirt from Old Navy.

* Purple sweater from Target.

* Grayish tartan bubble skirt from Urban Outfitters.

* Pink Lamé tights from H&M.

* Purple boots from Tacones in Madrid, Spain.

Hectic, nutsy and in ways delightful holidays so far.

Hope yours are going good & dandy as well!

This is what I wore today. It may look skimpy but it’s actually very warm because it involves many many layers :)

I loooove this outfit. It’s comfy, fun, girly & the colors are beautiful. Plus,it includes some of my favorite new items!!

I had been wanting to take some pictures out in the snow for a while now…

It’s so cold! I was brave and took pictures without a coat!

* Pink polka dot tank top from Urban Outfitters + Black long sleeve jersey top from Old Navy layered under…

* Crowns & Tiaras t-shirt from children’s department from Target.

*·Fancy·Lacy·cardigan by me.

* Purple bubble skirt by Kionkie Streetwear, a brand from Madrid. I bought this skirt at El Rastro (the Flea Market) in Madrid.

* Black skirt from H&M. (underneath)

* Pink lame tights from H&M.

* Purple Boots from Tacones in Madrid.

* Purple palestinian scarf from “Los Hippies de Goya” in Madrid.

* ‘Queen of Pink’ earrings by Tarina Tarantino.

* Purple sunglasses by Juicy Couture.

I’ve been raving about my new boots for a while so here’s a closer look:

These boots are awesome. They have kept me so warm this winter so far. And I feel so fashionably me every time I wear them!

+ they have rubber soles which is very necessary for the snow & ice!

I really like this outfit & I’ve worn it a couple times lately with different accessories. It’s the one I wore that first day in Paris, of which I only took a picture with the coat on.

I wore this when I went to see the musical theater version of the Beauty & the Beast with my friend Lara in Madrid.

It includes two of my favorite items.

* Black & white lace cotton slip from H&M.

* Black skirt from H&M.

* Black tights.

* Pink wool stockings from SockDreams.

* Silver sequined Mary Janes by Juicy Couture.

* ‘Queen of Pink’ Hello Kitty earrings by Tarina Tarantino.

* Rubber lacy looking headband from Target.

This outfit is really comfy & pretty warm + I always feel the right mix between stylish & funky when I wear it.

The silver Mary Janes were a dream of mine.

Mary Janes are my favorite type of shoe, and I had been wanting some silver sparkly ones forever. I finally found ‘the ones’ on Juicy Couture but found them to be too expensive….I watched them forever though! and ended up buying them for like a third of the original price! sitting out through the different sales as most sizes disappeared was nerve-wrecking but I stuck to my guns!

The Tarina Tarantino earrings are another great sale find. I love wearing them, they’re so sparkly & I feel like that the ‘Queen of Pink’ series is the one that fits my personality best out of all the Pink Head designs, so I’m happy I got something from the line!

A few days ago I wore the same outfit with my new purple boots that I got in Madrid. But I’ll give you a better view & tell you a bit about them next time ;)

This is one of the outfits I wore during the three day weekend in Paris with my family.

* Black corduroy pants from Eddie Bauer.

* Black ruffly long sleeve shirt from Target.

* True Love pink hoodie by Self-Esteem from Kohl’s.

* Teal corduroy trench coat from Target.

* Black mary-janes by So from Kohl’s.

* Teal&Pink Juicy Couture Magical Bag

* Purple “palestinian” scarf from ‘Los Hippies de Goya’ in Madrid.

I also wore an awesome outfit the day we got there, but due to my overall loopyness I forgot to take a decent picture of it.

Here’s one with the coat on :

It was actually quite great and very comfortable and warm, which was what I needed, as you can see from my tired look.

* Black & white lace cotton slip from H&M.

* Black skirt from H&M.

* Black leggings from Target.

* Pink wool stockings from sockdreams.

* Black mary-janes by So from Kohl’s.

* Pink “palestinian” scarf from ‘Los Hippies de Goya’ in Madrid.

I only took my magical bag with me, and even though in many ways is truly like Mary Poppins’ I couldn’t really bring that many clothes. So the whole trip I pretty much wore different versions of these outfits + the new treasures I encountered in my way!

P.S: Maybe soon I’ll show you some of them ;)

I love love love clothes, accessories, dressing up…and I’m always very inspired by the girls online who post about their outfits.

Check out my links section & check out their websites/blogs !

In the recent years, to me, it has been way more inspirational to see what my favorite girls were wearing in their everyday lives than what I saw in high fashion / high priced / highly bad for the environment magazines.

Honestly, I am still a sucker for the good old glossy & fine paper & the shiny pictures but now I only buy what I consider to be “collection item” magazines. Or magazines that are so artsy and fantabulous that I will want to keep forever (or at least 5 years ;)) as a treasured object of my affection next to my most beloved books.

So I decided, for my love of clothes & fashion & to join in this internet trend I love so much (and taking pictures of myself,of coarse.hehe.) to record my favorite outfits as they happen…

Hope y’all enjoy.

I had a WONDERFUL Halloween. It didn’t involve costumes but it did involve dressing up, being super happy and having a great time! We got our new car! it was exciting! our old one hasn’t been going backwards for about a year! + Our new car is pretty much our dream car. It’s even gotten me wanting to get my driver’s license (I felt no interest towards the matter previously). This is what I wore:

* H&M pink&white stripped sweater · super cozy with extra long sleeves! + it matches my hair perfectly! * White D&G top with lace & swarovski crystals collar ·fancy·fancy·fancy· * Black, bell-bottomed, sailor cut pants from H&M * A piece of awesome fabric used as a headband * Swarovski crystal crown earrings that I imagined, fell in love with & then found for a bargain in Denia, Spain in an unexpected moment! bliss! * Teal corduroy trench coat from Target * Teal&Pink Juicy Couture Magical Bag

Also we went to ·the fantastic·the great·the delightful·the badass· Atmosphere show at The Orpheum in State St. in Madison, WI. I decided not to dress up because well, these days it feels like me dressed up as me is more than enough, you know? They said it was the biggest crowd they’ve had so far in this tour . There were at least 1,000 people. Most of them dressed up in ridiculous/awesome/slutty costumes. There was a bit of everything. I danced the WHOLE show non-stop and sang most of the words. It was fucking mind blowing, honestly. Sean’s vibe is amazing and powerful and he is such a badass, oldschool, sexy, real motherfucker. It was just a great sweaty musical experience. I really wanted to meet Sean & Anthony (he’s such a BRILLIANT composer/producer) but it just didn’t work out. Maybe next time :) This is what I wore…

* Same pants + top + earrings * Vest that I got from either my mom or my aunt originally, I can’t quite recall but I used to wear it when I was younger. In my last trip home, I rescued it from my closet and my mom changed the buttons to silver stars, which makes it much better. * Pink pearls from Urban Outfitters · They were not originally pink but I’m sure you can imagine how they got that way;) * Rubber lacy looking headband from Target.

Also Gala Darling makes some excellent points on why it’s helpful to take daily outfit pictures here & here .
